Who we are

On Vole Animal Assistance is an organization dedicated to the training, development and responsible placement of assistance dogs, while promoting greater public awareness of their essential role in society. Our work brings together canine education, specialized training, animal welfare and community outreach to help build stronger partnerships between people and animals.

We believe that every assistance dog begins with a foundation of trust, patience and purposeful training. Our approach focuses on developing each dog's abilities, temperament, confidence and social skills through structured learning and positive reinforcement. By recognizing the individual needs and potential of every animal, we aim to prepare dogs to provide meaningful support to people with disabilities and other specific assistance needs.

What assistance dogs make possible

Assistance dogs can help individuals manage daily activities, navigate different environments and experience greater independence and confidence. Depending on their training and the needs of their future handlers, these dogs may learn specialized tasks that support people living with physical disabilities, neurological conditions or other challenges. Each successful partnership depends on appropriate training, consistent guidance and a strong bond built on mutual trust.

Education and awareness

We are equally committed to educating the public about the responsibilities, training requirements and appropriate recognition of assistance dogs. Through awareness initiatives and educational resources, we seek to correct misconceptions, encourage respectful interactions and promote a more inclusive society for assistance dog handlers.

Our commitment extends beyond training alone. Responsible preparation, animal well-being and thoughtful matching between dogs and their future handlers are essential to creating lasting, successful partnerships. By combining education, practical training and compassion, we strive to help every dog reach its potential while supporting the people who depend on its abilities.
